The leader.
That’s what everyone calls her. That’s what is in her blood. That’s what people uses to define her. That’s also what prompt forth the mammoth group, AKB48. That’s Takahashi Minami.
The leader is a very lonely role, especially when it’s the leader who believes in leading by example; she leads, standing in front of everyone, taking the first hit for everything that might go wrong, running in front of everyone and clearing the route as much as she could for the rest, and of course, putting in more time and efforts to make sure that she sets a good example for as much as she could for everyone else.
“Minami~What are you thinking?” Mariko sat herself down beside the leader at the far end of the room, giving her a warm smile. Takamina shook her head and gave the older girl a smile in return. Before she knew it, Haruna plopped herself on the other side of the leader, giving the pair a raised eyebrow as if questioning what they were talking, not without an hyperactive squirrel in tow.
“What’s with the suspicious smiles between Takaboy and Mariko-sama?” Yuko probed while her hands ‘probed’ along Haruna’s curves, earning a frustrated slap on her arm from the older girl.
Takamina rolled her eyes; maybe the leader role isn’t that lonely afterall. Not when there’re so many members that cared — even if they didn’t say it out, through the gentle looks, polite questions and even the teasing, they care.
“I’m telling Acchan on you,” Yuko warned, jumping off Haruna’s lap and whipping her cellphone out. “That’s for rolling your eyes at me. I’m telling on you~Takamina and Mariko-sama being suspicious ~~”
And sometimes, they care too much, Takamina thought as she chased the older girl around the room, much to the amusement of their juniors.
